The Virginia V Steamship and Community

The Steamer Virginia V Foundation is committed to serving community groups and the general public throughout the State of Washington in fulfillment of its status as a National Historic Landmark located in Seattle’s South Lake Union Neighborhood and the educational facet of its mission.
Each year the Virginia V Foundation reaches out to over 40 groups in education, health and wellness, parks, arts, law enforcement and the general public. Highlights include providing access to over 300 school-aged children from Seattle Public Schools and throughout the Puget Sound region. Along with general community access at Lake Union Park, the Virginia V has embarked on marine training program designed to introduce youth to a career in the maritime trades.
