The steamer VIRGINIA V is the largest operational wooden steamboat in the United States and is a unique educational tool for learning maritime skills and operations. Adult programs offer hands-on lessons in seamanship, engineering, and more. We are committed to serving our community by providing operational training on the SS VIRGINIA V.
Adult Programs
Deckhand Certification

This adult program teaches participants the skills needed to perform as a deckhand on the VIRGINIA V and similar vessels. Skills covered will included knot tying, line handling, communication, and more. For additional information,
